I checked for topics with the same questions but they haven't really been answered to their fullest as far as I can tell and maybe being a newer topic someone might have some answers. The steam version might have these questions answered being the full game, and the itch version being a limited "demo".
1.I've made everything there is to make in the game, including all foods and craftable materials, and yet I can still only come up with 2 things to research. Collecting sand in a bucket for stir research and harvesting weeds for bash research. Are there any other types of research that I have missed?
2. What do I do with the villagers? I've tried throwing every type of food in-game at them but they keep giving me a "yucky" face implying that they don't like the food. The only food I haven't tried to use was the pumpkin because I only have one and in the event they do like it I would like to produce more. Also, I am tired of looking at the massive gaggle of villagers sitting on the map not being able to do anything with them.
3. Speaking of the pumpkin, how do you plant and make more? I tried planting it in a regular weeded crop but doesn't do anything. Are there pumpkin seeds? It would be cool to see a research task for pumpkins in the bash module to produce pumpkin seeds (if you didn't need a bunch to fill the progress bar).
4. I cannot figure out how to use the canoe yet. I've tried a bunch of different keys and techniques to try and get my buns in the water to no avail.
Questions that might be answered in the full game are below.
5. What do you do with any of the instruments (examples: jaw harp, guitar, maracas, etc...)? EDIT: pressing the z key while holding them will play a tune.
6. What do you do with the watering can? I can fill it with water, but I cannot find a crop or anything that I plant that needs water.
7. What do you do with all the weapons? I don't see any enemies to attack or defend the robots from.
8. Other items I'm not sure what to do with would be the broom, basket, pitchfork, and name badge.
I know I have more questions, but I cannot think of them off the top of my head. I will update the topic if anything else comes up.
